Dates/Time: Tuesday & Thursday from 8 am to 10 am
Session A: July 16, 18, 23 & 25 from 8 - 10 am
Session B: July 30, August 1, 6 & 8 from 8 - 10 am
This two-week, non-sport specific, special development camp is a great opportunity for developing athletes to gain an increased understanding of the skills, techniques, and strategies needed to achieve success at the next level. The developmental camp is meant to introduce young athletes to different training components that most athletes at this age have not yet been introduced to, such as: Athletic strength and conditioning, designed to improve an athlete’s overall “on-field” performance while decreasing the chances of injuries. Individual development, daily “chalk talk” sessions to discuss the different topics as they relate to an athlete’s on the field performance, off the field preparation and proper fueling.

Zachary Joyce, BSc, CPT - Head Coach/Strength & Speed Coach - Zach is a former 2x all American, Jr. Olympian and Division I Track and Field Champion at Oakland University. Zach has been training athletes for 4 years and was recently on Oakland’s Track and Field staff as an assistant sprint coach. Zach has his Bachelor’s degree in Health Science with a focus in Exercise Science. His coaching philosophy is “work smarter, not harder” by using research-based training strategies to get proven results, as well as educating athletes in the importance of proper nutrition.
